Canada Day

The Town Office will be closed, Monday July 1 in observance of Canada Day. We will re-open Tuesday at 8:30 am.

However, Councillors and Town Administrators will be participating in Canada Day celebrating that begin at 10:00 am from the Green Moose Interpretation Centre.

Reminder to all Residents:

Tomorrow, June 30, 2013 is the last day to receive a discount on 2013 taxes paid in full. Any questions on the discount can be directed to the Town Clerk by calling 457-2413.

Celebrate Canada Day
Monday, July 1, 2013
Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm

Parade starts 10 a.m. at the Roddickton Green Moose Interpretation Centre proceeding around the loop via Harbour Drive and will finish up at the Playground.

Ceremony will be held at the Playground.

(In the event of rain, celebrations will be held at the Fire Hall.)

Decorate your bike or stroller and WIN A PRIZE!

Refreshments & Hot Dogs will be served.

Face Painting

Minister Sullivan,

On behalf of Mayor Norman, Deputy Mayor Reid and Councillors,

We wish to extend our appreciation for your attendance and involvement at the Senior’s Supper and Roast to Mr. Earl Pilgrim. We are truly appreciative that you were able to acquire time in your busy schedule to visit our community knowing that you were only in the area last week. It was an honour to have you. In addition, it was most pleasurable to have Ms. Shelley Abbott and Mr. Scott Barfood in attendance with you. Thank You.

2013 Mayor’s March for Heart Disease and Stroke!

This evening, June 10 at 7:00 pm, Mayor Norman and Staff will be taking part in the Mayor’s March for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Anyone is welcome to join us on a short walk to raise money for this cause. A minimum donation of $25 is required to receive a t-shirt but any donation will help with the fight against Newfoundland and Labrador’s leading cause of death.

Senior’s Night Update

It is an honour to announce that Minister Susan Sullivan will be the guest speaker at the Senior’s Banquet on Friday, June 7.  Along with Minister Sullivan, it is with admiration we announce other Minister’s will be in attendance as well as the CEO of the Labrador Grenfell Health Board.  It promises to be an enchanting event and I am sure everyone is looking forward to the roast of Mr. Earl Pilgrim.
