Quote for Arena

The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm is requesting quotes to replace the lighting over the ice surface in the arena.

The quote should include the following:
1. Removal and disposal of existing (30) 400 watt Metal Halide light fixtures over the ice surface area.
2. Supply and install (30) new LED Light Fixtures in the same locations as the existing lights. Include all necessary wiring, connectors and attachment accessories required to install the new LED Light Fixtures.
3. New LED light Fixtures are to be installed with wire guards.
4. Include all costs to perform work such as scaffolding rentals, materials and labor in quote.
5. Work to be completed this calendar year before the installation of the ice sheet this season.

For a site visit contact the office at 457-2413. Quotes should be faxed to the Town at 457-2413 or emailed to roddickton@nf.aibn.com by 4:30 pm, Nov 4, 2016. The Town Council of the Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm do not commit itself to accept the lowest or any quote received.

Missing Items

A number of items have been taken from the Roddickton-Bide Arm Town Garage/Salt Shed. Among the missing items are a STIHL Chainsaw Model MS170, Red 4200 Watt Portable Gas Generator purchased from Home Hardware and small hydraulic jack. The chainsaw has RBA engraved on both the chainsaw and cover. The serial number is 505795990. If anyone has information on these items they are asked to contact the Town office at 457-2413, local RCMP office at 457-2468 or to remain anonymous you can contact crime stopper at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Program Start Dates

Please be advised that both the JCP and CEEP will not begin until the week of Nov 7, 2016. Participant will not be informed if they were successful or not until after Nov 2, 2016.

Bide Arm Water Shut Off

Bide Arm residents are to be advised that the water will be off at 1:30 pm today, Oct 17, 16 for approximately an hour in order to complete regular maintenance. A boil order will be in effect until further notice.

Remembrance Day 2016

The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm will be hosting the Remembrance Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11, 2016. Any resident/group who would like to participate in the ceremony either by singing or reading a poem are asked to contacted the Office at 457-2413. In the event there are a large of persons/groups interested names will be drawn.

Interest parties who will be laying a wreath are also asked to contact the office with your name.
