Camp runs from August 15 – 19, 2016 and is geared for boys and girls enrolled in Kindergarten in September 2016 to the age of 13.
Registration:
Monday to Friday, July 18 to July 22 from 8:30 am – Noon and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Green Moose.
Cost: $20 per Person

Craft Program

The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm will like to introduce an exciting new craft program for children ages 6-10. Once a week kids will meet at the Green Moose Interpretation Centre or the Ashton House (location will be the parents/guardians choice) to complete a craft. During the 5th week, parents will be invited to the Museum to view their child(s) crafts. The program will run for 5 weeks starting next week.
Registration will take place July 11th, 2016 from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at The Green Moose Interpretation Centre on a first come basis. Cash Only.
Program Details
Ages: 6 to 10 (Children going to grade 1 to 4 in September)
Cost: $10.00 per child
Location & Time: Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:30 at the Green Moose Interpretation Centre or Thursday 6:00 – 7:30 at the Ashton House

Canada Day 2016

Canada Day 2016!
List of Events:
11:00 a.m. Parade
The parade will start at the Green Moose Interpretation Center, stop at Roddickton House for the cake cutting and proceed to the Playground.
1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for best decorated bike/stroller. All children taking part will receive a gift certificate for a free ice cream.
12:00 p.m. Ceremony at the Playground
Join us for local music, refreshments, hot dogs, hamburgers, face painting and games!
In the event of rain, celebrations will be held at the Arena.
Funded by Government of Canada!

The Municipality of Roddickton-Bide Arm has issued a Boil Water Advisory
for Roddickton (1 – 21A Circular Drive) as of June 23rd, 2016
The boil water advisory has been issued for the following reason(s):
D1 – Water distribution system is undergoing maintenance or repairs

Consumers are advised to bring water that you might ingest to a rigorous rolling boil for one (1) minute.
For example, boil water used for:
 drinking
 brushing teeth
 making ice
 cooking
 washing fruits and vegetables
 making coffee/tea and other hot drinks
 making juice from concentrate and powders
 making infant formula and cereal

NOTE: If using a home water treatment unit (e.g. filter), please read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Water Shut Off/Boil Order

The Town will be repairing a water leak located near Arch Simms residence tomorrow, June 23, 2016. The water will be shut off at 7:00 am from Arch Simms to Thomas Hancock and from Eugene Humby residences. Residents are asked to be prepared that the water will be gone until dark. After the water is back, a boil order will be in effect for this area. Sorry for the inconvenience.

WATER BOIL ORDER LIFTED

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC

The Boil Water issued on June 8th for Major’s Street from Lumberjacks, not including Lumberjacks, to the old Government wharf,Circulator Road, Harbour Drive and all roads in between has been lifted as of June 20, 2016.

SWIMMING LESSONS

Registration for swimming lessons will take place at the Green Moose Interpretation Centre/ Town Office at the following times:

  • Monday, June 13 and Tuesday, June 14 from
  •                              8:30 am – Noon, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday, June 15 from 8:30 am – Noon
  • Cost: $ 25 per child and $ 15 for each additional siblings plus $ 3 per session.
  • Booklets of 8 tickets are available at a cost of $ 20 which can be used for lessons or general swim.
  • Swimming Lessons are on a first come, first service bases.
