Graduation week has finally arrived. As you prepare for your day, you will make many memories that will last a lifetime. The journey through life is just as important as the present. It is both an exciting and scary time. Remember the future is yours and with determination you will achieve whatever you desire. The next regular council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Green Moose Interpretation Centre. The regular meetings scheduled for May 3 and May 17 have been cancelled.
On April 12, 2016 the first meeting was held of the advisory committee to discuss a recreation building. Attendance was low. If have not already submitted your name and you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact the Town office at 457-2413. The next meeting will not be held until the fall.
The Town office is open for business as usual from 8:30 am – Noon and 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Residents are reminded you will receive a discount on taxes paid in full by April 30.
The next regular council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Green Moose Interpretation Centre. The public is invited to attend.
Reminder to residents: April 30, 2016 is the last day to received the 10% discount on taxes. The same applies to businesses who receive a 5% discount.
The Town office will be closed from April 19 – 22, 2016 inclusive. In the event of an emergency, the Superintendent of Works can be reached at 457-7899. Feel free to leave a message on the answer machine or send an email to roddickton@nf.aibn.com. They will be checked periodically during that time. Your message will be answered when possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regular Council Meetings are scheduled as follows:
– The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from Jan – May and September – December.
– The 1st Tuesday of the month from June – August.
Meetings begin at 7:00 pm at the Green Moose Interpretation Centre. The public is invited to attend.
The Town is looking for two individuals to help with preparing, serving and cleaning up for the volunteer supper on Thursday, April 14, 2016. The paid is minimum wage. If you are interested please call the Town office at 457-2413. The successful individuals will be notified Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2016.
