Arena/Skating Coordinator
Temporary Position
Approximately 16 Weeks, 20 hours per week
Approximate Start Date: Jan 7, 2018

The person will be involved in coordinating and developing skating and hockey programs with the possibility of running a Wellness Program. The Wellness Program will be additional hours per week if added to the persons responsibility.

Successful applicants must meet the following qualifications:
• Work independently and follow instructions
• Good Communications skills and Organizational Skills
• Computer Skills
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

As reported in the news, our town has higher average THM and HAAs levels in our drinking water than the recommended. Below is a factsheet on the Disinfection By-Products (DBPs) and that includes both Trihalomethanes (THMs) and Haloacetic Acids (HAAs).

WATER BOIL ORDER LIFTED

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC

The Boil Water issued on November 29th , 2018 for 99 to 169 Major’s Street, 96 to 210 Major’s Street, Circular Road, Collegiate Drive, Weir’s Avenue, Reid’s Lane, Dawe’s Lane, Decker’s Lane, Grenfell Place, Norman’s Lane, Harbour Drive and Tiggie’s Lane has been lifted as of
December 7th, 2018.

Arena

Due to a lack of volunteers including coaches, there will be no skating programs and hockey programs this year.

Road Closure, Water Shut off and Boil order

Road Closure and Water Shut Off

Please be advised the road is closed passed Foodland to the United Church until repairs are complete.

The water will be shut off again on Monday, December 3 from at 9:30 am to approximately 4:30 pm.

The water shut off will affect:

– 99 to 169 Major’s Street

– 96 to 210 Major’s Street

– Circular Road

– Collegiate Drive

-Weir’s Avenue

– Reid’s Lane

– Dawe’s Lane

– Decker’s Lane

– Grenfell Place

– Norman’s Lane

– Harbour Drive

– Tiggie’s Lane

This is to repair a break in the main water line.
