GET MOVING COORDINATOR

for Roddickton-Bide Arm Recreation Get Moving Program for Children and Youth.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:
• plan and organize recreational activities for Children and Youth
• organize presentations on topics such as healthy eating, physical activity, tobacco control, drug/alcohol abuse and bullying
• office duties

The position is for approximately 14 weeks at 35 hours per week starting as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Hours of work are flexible. The successful person will have to provide a code of conduct to work with kids.

Expression of Interest

The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm is exploring the idea of developing a subdivision at ‘Camp Cove’. The lots will be approximately 40 metres x 100 metres. Any persons expressing an interested in purchasing a lot at that location, please call the Town office at 457-2413 by Friday, November 21, 2014.

JOB OPPORTUNITY

Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm has received COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM funding and is seeking workers.

The expected project start date is: December 1, 2014

• The rate of pay is minimum wage ($10.25).
• All positions are open to both men and women.
• Workers must be currently unemployed to be eligible to work on the project.
• Workers can be employed for a maximum of 400 hours.
• Individuals who require more than 400 hours of project employment in order to obtain EI Benefits are not eligible to participate.
• Individuals must qualify for EI by the end of the project. Further information regarding EI eligibility is available from Service Canada.
• All ROE’s (verifying hours obtained to date) must be submitted.
• MUST HAVE ATLEAST 20 HOURS BEFORE WORK BEGINS

Town Office Closure

Invitation for Quotes – Remembrance Day Lunch

The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm is now accepting quotes from any organization, business or individual for the supply and serving of soup, sandwiches, tea/coffee (all condiments), pie and ice cream for 150 people on Nov 11, 2014. The quote should include the supply of bowls, plates, cutlery, napkins and glasses.

Any additional information can be obtained by calling the Town Office at 709-457-2413.

Quotes clearly marked “Quotes – Remembrance Lunch” should be addressed and forwarded to the undersigned no later than 4 p.m., Oct 31, 2014.

Municipality of Roddickton-Bide Arm Municipal By-Election for one Councillor at Large

• All ROE’s (verifying hours obtained to date) must be submitted.
• Individuals who require more than 400 hours for employment (from all sources, including this program) in order to obtain EI Benefits are not eligible to participate.
• MUST HAVE ATLEAST 20 HOURS BEFORE WORK BEGINS
