The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm is pleased to announce that the WONDERBOLT CIRCUS will be coming to Town the first week of June.
The WONDERBOLT CIRCUS is a four person show featuring stilt walking, juggling, clowning, acrobatics, plate spinning, unicycling, diabolo, LED lit poi and staff twirling, pyrotechnics, etc. and a variety of busker acts.
In addition, an interactive workshop on juggling and plate spinning will be offered separate from the show.
Details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Reminded March 31, today is the last day to receive 10% discount on Property Tax and Water & Sewer Tax when taxes are paid full by cash or cheque.

for Roddickton-Bide Arm Swimming Pool for the 2014 summer season.
Minimum Qualifications:
• National Lifeguard or Current Bronze Cross;
• Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
• St. John Ambulance Safety Oriented Emergency
• Standard First Aid
• Any or all other training and certification required to work as a Swimming Instructor.

The Great Northern Peninsula Heritage Network is accepting resumes for a
Destination Development Coordinator
Qualifications:
Good PR and marketing skills to develop promotional literature for existing tourist attractions throughout the member communities of the GNPHN.
Ability to prepare clear, concise materials for Destination Development. (i.e Devise and plan tours to member communities and organize special festivals with member communities)
Ability to work with effective partnerships to stimulate tourist attractions in rural areas.
Produce tourist information for tourism guides and newsletters.
Ability to plan meetings and take minutes of the meetings.
Basic computer skills, good verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational and teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
Experience working with volunteer organizations is also an asset. Preference will be given to applicants with local knowledge of the tourism industry on the Great Northern Peninsula of NL
Must have access to a vehicle and have a driver’s license
Pending funding approval this position is a one year JCP position and the applicant must be EI eligible.
Job location will be based in the successful applicant’s present home area.
