The power outage originally scheduled for tomorrow, Feb 9 for a portion of Roddickton has been cancelled due to weather.

On behalf of the Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm, Mayor Fitzgerald, Deputy Mayor DeMoss, Councillors and Town Staff we would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone Joy, Peace and Good Will at this special time of year.

All taxes are due when rendered. However, the following discounts will apply for early payment. A 10% discount will be given on all 2016 residential taxes which are paid in full by April 30, 2016.

Please Note: Discounts are not available when paying by VISA & MasterCard.

ALL 2016 TAXES ARE OVERDUE AS OF JULY 1st, 2016. Interest at the rate of 12% per annum (ie.1% per month) is being charged monthly on all arrears (ie. 2016 and earlier unpaid taxes). Interest on all unpaid 2016 taxes will begin on July 1st, 2016.

All business taxes which are paid in full by April 30, 2016 will be given a 5% discount

Residents of Bide Arm: After midnight tonight, December16, 2015, the water pump will be replaced causing residents to lose their water for a short period of time. The boil order is still in effect. Please spread the word to those who did not have facebook or access to the internet. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

To residents of Bide Arm: The Town water lines will be flushed a number of times over the next few days. To minimize the inconvenience to residents, work will be competed after midnight. Residents may experience low water pressure during this time.

The Harbour Authority will be meeting Thursday, December 17. at 7:15PM, Gerry Byrne Room

The meeting will focus upon some tentative drawings done by Robin Gosse.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC
The Municipality of Roddickton-Bide Arm has issued a Boil Water Advisory for Bide Arm as of Dec 14, 2015

The boil water advisory has been issued for the following reason(s):
water distribution system maintenance

Consumers are advised to bring water that you might ingest to a rigorous rolling boil for one (1) minute.

For example, boil water used for:
drinking
brushing teeth
making ice
cooking
washing fruits and vegetables
making coffee/tea and other hot drinks
making juice from concentrate and powders
making infant formula and cereal

A meeting of the Habour Authority Committee will be held on Thursday, Nov 26 at 7:15 pm at the Gerry Byrne Room. Harbour Authority meetings are open to the public and new members are welcome.
