Boil Order Reminder
Water Shut Off/Boil Order
The Town will be repairing a water leak located near Arch Simms residence tomorrow, June 23, 2016. The water will be shut off at 7:00 am from Arch Simms to Thomas Hancock and from Eugene Humby residences. Residents are asked to be prepared that the water will be gone until dark. After the water is back, a boil order will be in effect for this area. Sorry for the inconvenience.

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC
The Boil Water issued on June 8th for Major’s Street from Lumberjacks, not including Lumberjacks, to the old Government wharf,Circulator Road, Harbour Drive and all roads in between has been lifted as of June 20, 2016.
SWIMMING LESSONS
Registration for swimming lessons will take place at the Green Moose Interpretation Centre/ Town Office at the following times:
- Monday, June 13 and Tuesday, June 14 from
- 8:30 am – Noon, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- Wednesday, June 15 from 8:30 am – Noon
- Cost: $ 25 per child and $ 15 for each additional siblings plus $ 3 per session.
- Booklets of 8 tickets are available at a cost of $ 20 which can be used for lessons or general swim.
- Swimming Lessons are on a first come, first service bases.
Update on water breakage Major’s Street
Update on the water break on Major’s Street…The water break was repaired last night. Unfortunately overnight another water leak sprung in the same area. The Maintenance staff are working to repair the second leak.

The Town is inviting interested parties to submit a quote to rent the gift shop area located at the Green Moose Interpretation Centre for July and August 2016.
Interested parties must submit the quote along with the proposed use for the space by June 20, 2016 at 4:00 pm.

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC
The Municipality of Roddickton-Bide Arm has issued a Boil Water Advisory
for Major’s Street from Lumberjacks, not including Lumberjacks, to the old Government wharf, Circulator Road, Harbour Drive and all roads in between. as of June 8th, 2016
The boil water advisory has been issued for the following reason(s):
D1 – Water distribution system is undergoing maintenance or repairs
Consumers are advised to bring water that you might ingest to a rigorous rolling boil for one (1) minute.
For example, boil water used for:
drinking
brushing teeth
making ice
cooking
washing fruits and vegetables
making coffee/tea and other hot drinks
making juice from concentrate and powders
making infant formula and cereal

Temporary Position
Approximately 21 Weeks – Approximate Start Date: June 27, 2016
Applications are being invited from qualified individuals for one (1) Labourer under JCP.
Individuals will be involved in helping with and coordinating recreational activities.
Successful applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- be able to work independently and follow instructions
- capable of working in adverse weather conditions
- be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident legally entitled to work in Canada;
- are unemployed
- have a current claim for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits or had an unemployment benefit period that ended within the 36 months (3 years) prior to date of requesting assistance.
