Summer Programs

Summer Fun!

The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm and the Roddickton-Bide Arm Recreation Committee have been busy planning activities for this summer. Once again this summer, we are pleased to offer the Kid’s Recreation Program, Swimming Lessons, Science Camp and a New Program for Youth. Registrations for the program except the youth program will take place late next week. Programs and swimming lessons will begin on July 7. Science Camp will be the week of Aug 18.

Also a reminder Canada Day is fast approaching. Come and join in the celebrations, Tuesday, July 1. Decorate your bike or stroller for a chance to win a prize. There will be a parade, live music, free hot dogs and refreshments, cake, face painting, games for fun, and a visit from Smokey the Bear, Winnie the Pool and Hello Kitty.

Be sure to keep an eye open for flyers posted up around town leading up these events for more details!

Canada Day Celebrations

Canada Day 2014
Tuesday, July 1
Roddickton-Bide Arm

Canada Day is brought to you by the Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm and the Roddickton-Bide Arm Recreation Committee.

Parade starts 11 a.m. at the Roddickton Green Moose Interpretation Centre proceeding around the loop via Harbour Drive and will finish up at the Playground. The parade will stop at Roddickton House for the cake cutting.

Ceremony will follow at the Playground with a visit from Smokey the Bear, Hello Kitty and Winnie the Pooh.
(In the event of rain, celebrations will be held at the Arena.)
Decorate your bike or stroller and receive a prize.

Refreshments, Hot Dogs, Face Painting and Games for Fun! The Recreation Committee will also be selling COTTON CANDY!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

Volunteers Needed

 The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm is exploring having a Moose Festival August 2015 and hopefully continuing annually.  There will be a meeting at the Gerry Byrne Room for anyone interested in helping with the festival and forming a committee on Monday, June 16 at 7:00 PM. If you are not able to attend this meeting but are interested in helping, please call the Town Office at 457-2413.

Mayor’s March

The Town Council of Roddickton-Bide Arm will take part in the Mayor’s March for Heart Disease and Stroke on Wednesday starting at 6:00 pm. They will meet at the Town Office and walk around the block for this cause. In the event of rain, it will take place in the Arena. If you would like to join in, pledge sheets are available at the Office Town. All individuals collecting donations of $ 25 or more, will receive a free t-shirt from the Heart and Stroke foundation.
